The Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology

The Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology started in 1983 as the society of clinical periodontology. It is an academy that aims to strive for the improvement of clinical dental care and contribute to an improvement in public health and welfare through training in gum treatment.

Currently, we embrace 4,500 members including prominent clinical gum care doctors representing Japan, private practitioners, university hospital dentists, and general hospital dentists. We engage in an array of activities such as holding research presentation and lecture seminars, issuing organizational journals and resources, and communication and linkage with related academic organizations and gum care doctors both in Japan and abroad.
